Fuel young minds, boost employee morale

Your company has the opportunity to make a significant social impact at an underfunded school. We will coordinate a special visit for each employee to gift a copy of "Who Stole Carl’s Carrot!?" to each student and read it together. This initiative goes beyond story time—it offers a heartwarming experience that nurtures young minds and uplifts employee morale, cultivating a deep sense of belonging in the workplace.

  • Step 1: School Selection

We will determine the best class size and school location for your company. This can range from 25 to 200+ students depending on your budget.

    Step 2: Scheduling

We will coordinate with the school to schedule your visit based on the preferred event dates you provide.

    Step 3: Pick Your Package

Next, you’ll chose what you’d like to include in your visit:

    • Books: $15 - We require you gift one to each student and teacher.

    • Lesson Plans: $30 - We encourage you to gift one to each teacher to pair with the book, enhancing future learning experiences.

    • Craft: $5 - The optional craft is themed around the book and tailored to enhance students' skillsets, while also encouraging creative thinking in employees!

    • Company Overview: Free! This increases exposure to various careers and sparks curiosity. It brings the world into the classroom, developing social skills and broadening horizons. It should be short, sweet, and fun!

    • Gift Company Swag: Free! This can create a memorable experiences for the kids while also promoting your company within the community.

    Step 4: Shipping

We ship the books, along with any additional package options, to your office. We suggest hosting a "wrap party" a few hours before the event. Provide paper, scissors, tape, and coffee, and have your employees wrap the books. This fosters bonding, builds excitement, and encourages attendance and carpooling to the school.

    Step 5: Promotion

We assist in promoting the event internally by providing a custom flyer that you can email and print for the office.

    Step 6: Logistics

We'll provide you with the school's point of contact and send reminders a week and a day before your visit, detailing event logistics like parking and entry instructions.

Step 7: Day of the Event

Show up at the event, have a blast, make an impact, and create lasting memories!

  • Boost Productivity

Volunteer programs boost productivity, engagement, and retention. More volunteering leads to better performance and citizenship at work.

Studies find that when volunteers meet the people their work supported, their productivity and persistence skyrocketed

    Increase Loyalty

Among companies that offered programs, employee loyalty increased not only among those who volunteered but also among those who did not

  • Should we make volunteering mandatory?

Studies have shown that mandatory volunteering can put pressure on employees — intrinsic motivation and satisfaction with the activity are often diminished.

We suggest making it optional but encouraged. Research has found that the existence of a volunteer program makes employees feel more engaged weather or not they participate.

Do we have to have a minimum number of volunteers?

Nope! We’ve even had one person hand out books and read to the entire class. However, it is nice if you can break the class into smaller groups so the employees and students get more 1:1 time.

Can we talk to the students about our company?

Yes! Teachers love the students to learn about new professions and companies. As long as the nature of the business is appropriate for school aged children.

Can we gift company swag along with the books?

Yes! It's a great way to create memorable experiences for the kids while also promoting your company within the community. We just ask that you make it age appropriate :)
