If I were a children’s book, I’d be Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs—a whimsical, food-filled adventure bursting with imagination. The inspiration for our debut title, Who Stole Carl’s Carrot!?, came during a family hike when my daughter Dayton asked, “Where’s his nose?” after spotting a snowman missing its carrot nose. Amid the challenges of COVID, I was searching for something to bring lightness and joy. If you ever feel the same, I highly recommend writing a rhyming book—it’s impossible not to smile while doing it!

Katya Reyda, illustrator
Our illustrator and creative guru, Katya Reyda, resides in Ukraine with her adorable son, Damir. Claire was initially drawn to the cheerful characters Katya shared online, shedding light during the country's challenging times. With a masters in book graphics from the National Academy of Arts and Architecture in Kiev, she brought that same radiance to our debut story.
